Design your own puppet competition

Have a go at designing your own puppet, and e-mail the results to artslife@thenational.ae by next Sunday, October 17. The best four efforts will win places in a small workshop on puppet shadow theatre being held before a performance by Czech puppet company Tineola. Tineola will be performing the Edward Lear-inspired Round the World in a Tea Kettle. The workshop is aimed at seven to 12-year-olds and will take place at the Talents and Creativity Centre, National Theatre, Abu Dhabi on October 20 from 4-7pm.

Winners of the competition will be notified by e-mail by noon on Monday, October 18. If you are not one of the lucky winners, you can e-mail tineola@adach.ae or call 02 657 6391 to reserve a place in the workshop.
