Solid Snake gets the nod
News broke a few weeks ago that Metal Gear Solid was going the way of Mario, Hitman and, er, Chun-Li in getting its own film. Well according to the game’s creator Hideo Kojima, who is serving in an advisory role for the film, the movie will have Solid Snake, rather than Big Boss, as the protagonist.
Apparently, he and the producer Avi Arad had once been considering Hugh Jackman for the role, but are now going to go for a fresh (read: a bit cheaper) face. Given the amount of MGS games out there, if this is even remotely successful expect several decades of sequels, prequels and spin-offs.
