Kuwait tackles quad bikers

KUWAIT // Authorities in Kuwait have been frustrated by quad bike riders who have been riding in an unlawful manner on Failaka Island, located off the coast of the small Gulf nation. In the interests of promoting a tranquil environment for visitors, quad bikes are prohibited on the island but the authorities have received reports of illegal riding, especially by children. According to island residents, many of the riders are unlicensed and uninsured and the bikes are being brought across to the island hidden on boats.
