iSpy: Moto Guzzi 1400cc California

Two new models of Moto Guzzi were announced last month by the Piaggio Group; a 1,400cc model and a Scrambler based on the V7. Here, the new Moto Guzzi California has an entirely new, 1,400cc transverse V-twin engine, and it looks like there may be a radiator mounted vertically in front of the engine, directly behind the front fender. The valve covers seem to be much taller than the engine on the 1,100cc and 1,200cc versions. The California's styling seems to have been left mostly intact from the last model, although it has a slightly more stretched look. The Piaggio Group declares, in a press release, that: "All the technical components - wheels, brakes, suspension - are new too, proclaiming the California's membership of an eagerly awaited new generation of Moto Guzzi bikes."
