I-Spy: Audi RS 6 Avant hits the test track

The Audi RS6 Avant offers the option of having your dogs in the back at speeds that rival supercars. There's a new generation of the A6, so Audi engineers are naturally eager to show what they can do. The engine for the RS6, which is likely to come in the form of a downsized 4.0L V8 (the same unit that is shared with Bentley) and thanks to the addition of a pair of turbochargers, will rate at somewhere between 550hp and 600hp in the RS6's configuration. The unit will also see action in various forms of the A4, as well as the S7. This is a finished prototype of the RS, as it has the two huge exhaust tips. The cosmetic changes over the standard Avant also include aggressive bodywork and 20-inch wheels. Audi Drive Select and a torque vectoring rear differential will almost certainly come into play as standard features.
