'Hot' Rod Fuller and 'Big Daddy' Don Garlits are part of a long tradition of great nicknames in motorsport. Some monikers have been boring and contrived (think "Flying Finn" for any sportsman from Finland), while others are so brilliant they take over the public persona of the driver.
