The Style List: Period drama

A term we've used more than once this year (in a tongue-in-cheek way, you understand), "Downton chic" describes perfectly a look we've seen a lot of in fashion over the last 12 months, particularly in the revival of the sort of velvets, tweeds and nipped-in waists seen in the popular TV drama.
