The Autumn 2012 collection by Designers Guild is now available at Maison d'Art in Dubai. The season's printed fabrics are inspired by the Aesthetic movement of the late 19th century and capture the attention to detail, colour and passion for nature characteristic of Pre-Raphaelite painters. A vibrant colour palette of violet, azure, cobalt and fuchsia is combined with the more demure tones of olive, slate and chalk.
The new collection is available at Maison d'Art, Al Wasl Road, Dubai
The Scottish textile designer Gillian Kyle launched her eponymous homeware brand in 2008 from the comfort of her kitchen table. Her range consists of charming kitchen textiles, mugs, coasters, greeting cards and clothing that celebrate the unsung heroes of Scottish culture. We particularly love her retro homage to the Creamola Foam can, a relic from the 1960s. This unbleached cotton tea towel is screen-printed in delicious shades of raspberry and sky blue.
