The Hot List: All that glitters...

1. Bold and beautiful

Versace Home's latest collection is available now. The new range embraces three key themes: vanitas, Greek key and baroque, and a colour palette that comes straight from Versace's prêt-à-porter and haute couture collections. Expect sulphur yellows, acid greens, electric blues and pearl greys interspersed with touches of gold, ivory, stone and black. Materials are also unashamedly opulent - think shiny leathers, velvets, silks, gold leaf and precious marbles.

  • Check out the new collection in the Versace Home store on level one, The Dubai Mall

2.  Into the wild

Textile designer Neisha Crosland has added three new designs to her collection of carpets for The Rug Company. The new additions, Zebra, Hedgehog and Zebra Pale, are defined by their modern geometric motifs and are hand knotted by skilled artisians using the finest Tibetan wool and silk yarns.

  • Hedgehog Sea, Dh9,446 per square metre, The Rug Company, DIFC

3. Worldly goods

Decorative accessories, accent furniture and unusual lighting products by the Dallas-based Arteriors Home are now available exclusively at Bloomingdale's in Dubai. The brand, which produces about 400 products a year, favours classic materials such as leather, iron, brass, bronze, nickel, wood, glass, ceramic and porcelain, and works with artisans and manufacturers from around the world.

  • Kensey iron mirror, Dh3,350, Bloomingdale's Home, The Dubai Mall

4. Ethnic touches

The Urban Yogi will be at Mercato Mall until November 12 selling a range of stunning items for the home. But be warned, with Suzani-inspired plates, Ikat ottomans, vintage sari patchwork chairs and a whole host of other tableware, bedding, flooring and lighting products on offer, you'll struggle to walk away empty-handed.

  • Arabesque plates, Dh300 for a set of four, The Urban Yogi, www.theurbanyogi.me

5. Perfect setting

Our favourite one-stop-shop for Turkish-inspired design, Angelique.me is offering a raft of new products by the Istanbul-based Sasanna Designs. The brand's handcrafted, vintage-style tabletop accessories include the Silver Breeze bowl and Semse serving plate, but we're coveting the handmade Alem Coffee Set, a classic wooden tray with brass handles that comes complete with a silver-plated coffee cup and sweet bowl.
