1. Managua colours
There's a new collection of primitive Nicaraguan art on offer at Objects and Elements in Dubai. With their bright colours and simple renditions of village scenes, the paintings by Niger Bello, who lives in Managua in Nicaragua and has been painting for 25 years, are particularly striking.

2. Svelte luminescence
Pencil thin, with a nonchalant slant, the Manana Lamp by Design House Stockholm will look great leaning against any wall in the house. Designed by Marie-Louise Gustafsson, it's available now from D.Tales in DIFC.

3. Drink green
Drink with a clear conscience with these glasses by Jarapa, available now from The Change Initiative in Dubai. They're made from 100 per cent recycled glass by a company committed to ethical and sustainable business practices, and look great to boot.

4. All-natural therapy
This reed diffuser is made by Cowshed, which specialises in natural, therapeutic products that are made in England from organic, wild-crafted plant extracts. The company's creations are all free from petrochemicals, sulphates and artificial colours and fragrances. But we just love that it's called Lazy Cow and, with its mix of jasmine, camomile and sandalwood, is designed to leave you feeling peaceful and relaxed.
Cowshed products are distributed in the UAE by Sarum Trading, www.sarumtrading.com and available from select Sisters Beauty Lounges
5. Thrushing about
We love the muted colours, avian theme and 1950s vibe of the Birdy cushion range by Magpie. There are four designs to choose from, including Thrush, Wagtail and BlueTit, but Robin's our favourite.
