Where do you live and how long have you lived there?

Mayfair in central London. I've been there for five years.

What made you choose the property?

It's a historical building that I have always wanted to live in. It's where, among others, [the famous British interior designer] David Hicks used to live.

What does your home say about you?

British, elegant and sophisticated.

Is there anything you would change about it, or anything you wished you had done differently?

No, I am very happy there. Although it could be bigger!

What is the key to creating a happy home?

To surround yourself with the things you love.

Which item would no home of yours be without?

My Beistegui armchair, designed by Emilio Terry.

Where do you like to shop for pieces for your home?

From all over the world, but mostly London, Paris and New York.

Do you incorporate elements of your work into your home, or do you like to keep your domestic environment separate?

My home is a true expression of my personality. My work is creating my clients' personalities in their homes.

What are you working on right now?

Currently, a number of private residences in London, New York, Monaco, St Moritz and Tel Aviv, among others.

What inspires your work?

Life and contemporary art.

Who are your favourite designers?

My favourites are Claude Lalanne, André Dubreuil, Mattia Bonetti and Oriel Harwood.

How would you describe your interior style?

Eclectic elegance.

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?

New York City.

How do you like to relax?

Escaping to my favourite places: Venice, Malta and Capri.

What is the best way to simply and instantly update a room?

Always make sure that there are lots of fresh flowers. They bring new life into a space.
