New bubble tea flavour
Bubble tea fans take note: Bubbles & Boba has launched a new flavour for the summer called EmiraTea, a combination of Vimto and banana juice. For those new to the subject, bubble tea (otherwise known as pearl shake, tapioca ball drink and boba iced tea) is a popular Taiwanese drink made from hot or cold tea (in various flavours), milk, sugar and tapioca balls. Sounds appealing? Bubbles & Boba is located on Level 2 of The Dubai Mall.
Great news for fish
Two fishes, the giant sea catfish and the yellow tail scad, have recently been added to the green category of the EWS-WWF's Choose Wisely consumer guide, which means that they are being fished within sustainable levels. In celebration, the EWS-WWF is calling for UAE residents to submit their favourite recipes featuring these fish to Facebook.com/EWS.WWF. To download a copy of the consumer guide to sustainable fish in the UAE, visit www.choosewisely.ae.
In a bid to whet appetites ahead of time, the Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai has recently announced that, come October, it will be opening a rustic, family-friendly Portuguese restaurant called Piri Piri. The chef de cuisine Luis Salgueiro will be serving traditional dishes such as seafood cataplana (spiced shrimp, squid and mussels with rice), amejioas a moda Algarvia (steamed clams in a white grape and garlic sauce) and, of course, piri piri chicken.
