Shibil-Agna reach UAE badminton finals

CP Shibil and Agna Anto cruised into the finals of the mixed doubles in the UAE Open Badminton tournament at the India Club. Shibil and Agna beat Ahmed Moin and Kavya Joseph 21-10, 21-10. In the men's doubles, Kunnumel Shameej and Mammen Blesson beat Abhishek Singh and Gohar Azam.

Meanwhile Abu Dhabi Sports channel and the Al Ittihad sports section were selected as the best in Arabic sports media in the UAE in voting conducted by the web site koora.com. Both Abu Dhabi Sports and Al Ittihad are owned by Abu Dhabi Media Company, which also owns The National.
