Between the Lines

One of Dubai’s best-known galleries is expanding as XVA gets a new location in the rapidly-expanding art hub at DIFC. 

The original gallery, cafe and hotel will remain open for business in Bastakiya, while owner Mona Hauser says the new location will offer something different, starting with an exhibition featuring pieces by Mohsen Ahmadvand, Mahmoud Hamadani, Morteza Zahedi, Simeen Farhat and Al Braithwaite. 

“From the beginning, my philosophy with XVA was to sculpt a venue for artistic and creative inquiry that is both welcoming and distinctly unique,” she said. 

“Our goal is to enhance the existing community of culture in the region by transferring our successful model in Bastakiya to our new location in DIFC.”
