That ideal of motoring elegance, Rolls-Royce, is experiencing a sales boom in the UAE, according to one of the main dealers in the country.
AGMC, the authorised dealer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, yesterday said its sales of the ultra-luxury vehicle had grown by 22 per cent in the first three months of this year compared with the same period last year.
"Our performance in the first three months of this year underlines Rolls-Royce's position as the leader of luxury vehicles and reflects the increased appetite for individuality and exclusivity in the car segment. We are continuously increasing our market share," said Osman Abdelmoneim, the general manager of AGMC.
The company is currently gearing up to welcome the next generation Rolls-Royce, the Wraith, which is set to arrive to AGMC's showrooms later this year, and which Rolls-Royce says will be the most powerful car in the company's 107-year history.
It will have a twin-turbo V12 engine and develop 624 brake horsepower, capable of taking it from 0 to 100 kph in 4.6 seconds.
The Wraith will have a two-tone paint exterior and its leather-lined interior roof will have 1,340 fibre-optic lights woven in to create a "starry night" effect.
