Three penthouses – one flat and two triplexes – have gone on sale in the Triton Building in north London.
The residential tower, on the edge of Regent’s Park, was designed with Stephen Marshall Architects as a “piece of sculptural art” with a large woven pattern of aluminium defining its facade, according to Ross Walker-Love, the asset manager at British Land.
The luxury property is a new move for British Land, an FTSE 100 company, which had until now focused on commercial property.
The City, Park and Panorama penthouses are situated on the 22nd to 25th floors and range from 3,506 square feet to 4,053sq ft. Prices start from £6 million (Dh35.7m). All three flats have an outside balcony and terrace area.
In the City Penthouse, the interior designer Douglas Mackie fitted out the inside using timber and marble to reflect American and Italian postwar design, in keeping with the building’s bronze-colour aluminium, stone and glass exterior. The apartment has two rooftop rooms — one as a place for refreshments, the other as a gym. The accommodation is serviced by Harrods Estates.
“The penthouses at Triton Building are among the best and most spacious in the West End,” says Mr Walker-Love. “They set the benchmark for British Land’s forthcoming residential projects in the heart of the capital as the company takes on more mixed use projects and create a new niche of premium property in this world cultural and financial centre.”
The remainder of the building is taken up by 94 flats — 94 per cent of which are already sold.
That the property is managed by British Land is an advantage for prospective tenets and buyers, according to estate agent Alex Finch of Jones Lang Lasalle.
“London has a limited number of high-rise properties homes for sale with exceptional views,” Mr Finch says. “The Triton Building’s penthouses overlook the architectural highlights of central London, the City tower skyline and Regents Park.”
