Builders to get diesel power backup
Dubai World's global investment entity, Imdaad, will bring in a fleet of diesel-burning power generators intended for building sites, a move that will help assure that projects are not delayed by a shortage of power but that could also create new air-quality challenges. Dubai World's Imdaad unit, which provides facilities management services, said yesterday it had launched a new business division to address the temporary power needs of the emirate's industries and construction projects.
