Kayala to halt flights on poor demand

Saudi all-business class airline Kayala will suspend all flights from the beginning of next month due to poor demand, company officials said earlier today. "The management decided to suspend all flights from April 1 simply because the business is no longer viable given poor demand the high costs," one company official said on condition of anonymity. Another official, who also declined to be identified, confirmed the remarks.

The carrier now operates flights from Saudi capital Riyadh only to the Red Sea port city of Jeddah and to Dubai. It has a fleet of Airbus 319 and 44-seat business jets. * Reuters
