Drake & Scull Internationalís (DSI) German unit has won a trio of orders on wastewater plants in Europe worth Dh166 million.
The contract sent the stock up 1.8 per cent to Dh1.71 in early trading in Dubai.
Passavant-Roediger, a wholly-owned susbidiary of DSI, won the work in Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey.
Under the terms of the Romanian agreement, Passavant-Roediger, will undertake the execution of the civil, mechanical, electrical and supervisory control and data acquisition works.
It is also responsible for testing and commissioning the rehabilitation and extension of waste water treatment plants in the cities of Sinaia and Breaza and drinking water treatment plants in Comarnic and Sinaia, to be completed by 2015.
The company is also delivering waste water treatment plants in the Romanian cities of Campina and Plopeni.
Passavantís contract in Bosnia and Herzegovina will involve the rehabilitation of the Sarajevo waste water treatment plant at Butila to increase its capacity to 170,000 cubic metres of waste water per day.
Work on the project is expected to be completed by 2016.
In Turkey its contract calls for engineering, procurement and construction works for a waste water treatment plant and waste water collector mains in Adiyaman.
