From the odd to the timeless, its portrait day during Major League Baseball's Spring Training.  Photography can be much like a sport and during Media Days when photographers are shooting portraits all day long, they yearn for a few special pictures amidst the assembly-line of faces.

Its a long roster of stars, rookies and coaches and its the photographer's job to face everybody in the line-up. But much like a batter at the plate, they know it's important to remain patient and if they do, the clouds might shift or a momentary micro-expression might be revealed and then gone in an instant. At other times, photographer's know its important to be aggressive and make something happen if nothing visual is developing.

Finally after hours of work, they begin to edit images and hope to find something special, something more than a base-hit ... they look for their photographic home run.
