New staff photographer Mona AL Marzooqi spent a recent afternoon roaming the Madinat Zayed neighborhood in Abu Dhabi. While during the afternoon she found the streets quiet with few people about and many shops closed. She eventually found this wonderful moment of two men working in a butcher shop waiting for the early evening rush. A bar of the window frame separates the frame into two halves. The man on the right peeking out around a calendar, leaning forward looking outwards gives a sense of anticipation, while the man on the left, sitting casually with back to the window, looking back into the frame, tells us this is still the calm before the storm.
