Ironic that someone who is too busy to make their kids' lunches is mocking the desire for working parents to connect with their children during the day. As a mother of twins who is often off to work before her children even wake up in the morning, I find the Lunchbox Love notes a particularly convenient way to make a small yet meaningful connection even though we are not together during the day. And, I personalize each one. Just like a birthday card purchased in a store. Unless you think that is necessary to make homemade birthday cards to ensure creativity? In addition to the "I love you cards" there are cards that promote positive messages that counter the negative messages that our kids are bombarded with each day. This article makes it clear that this is something we need more of, in both kids and adults--positivity.
