I wellcome the need for change in KSA particularly women participation in economic and political field. However without looking into the context of the current state, allowing Women to drive is ill advised. Often women are harrassed and followed by strange men. Just recently few women were waiting for a taxi and a Saudi driver stopped and when informed that they were waiting for a taxi, he insisted that he can take them where they want to go. When a taxi did arrive, this saudi driver followed them. Untill and unless this perverted and regressive behaviour stays and goes unchallanged, it is unsafe for female to go anywhere unaccompanied and more so driving by themselves. The Islam law allows women to travel unaccompanied for a lenght of a days journey. But KSA is far from being Islamic culturally and socially.

It's high time Turkey takes a lead in the affairs of Middle East. Its isolation has been too long in the hope of being a part of Europe. It has now realized it was wrong, because it would never be acceptable, being a Muslim State. A good-for-nothing State, Greece, is o.k because it is Christian. No question the divide between Muslim and Judo-Christian is eternal.
