i can't believe what i read here . i am not sure if this Mr Almulla is leaving a comment as a suggestion or it is something that will be implemented. i hope not . the competition in hiring shall remain between public and private and shall not be stopped just because someone has a thought. if you go back to literature in human resources it will give many answers into how to increase your work force. but to stop some from hiring that is just unbelievable i don't think someone studied such suggestion

I've lived in Dubai for many years and I remember being told that this "non-mingling" rule was implemented to prevent certain "artistes" from soliciting customers for you know what! Now, although I agree with preventing that activity, times have indeed changed and all "Jammmers" go to these open-mic events with their friends just to sing and play music and enjoy the "moment".... And of course there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. So there has to be another way..... or is this just a simple money-making exercise? As the article says, people are becoming reluctant to go to these open-mic events because they feel criminalised and isolated and the bottom lines here are a) this is giving Dubai another unwanted image and b) this is definitely bad for business.
