It’s a shame that the health care community would rather diagnose and prescribe meds for children rather than look at parent’s interaction style and attachment to their children. I don’t think parents purposefully neglect their children but societal and financial pressures seem to surmount and parents succumb to the pressure. Maternity leaves are short term and choosing to care for children is seen as a privilege for the wealthy rather than a right of the child. I applaud Dr. Faye’s efforts in speaking out for children and their need for continuous attachment. This work seems so intuitive yet in today’s modern age revolutionary.
