What a very informative article. However, can I draw attention to a very pertinent source of destination information which visitors can access freely to enhance their experience of Abu Dhabi emirate. This is www.visitabudhabi.ae – the official destination website of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority. And there is now further good news for those planning a trip to Abu Dhabi – and that is that www.visitabudhabi.ae is currently being significantly upgraded with the refreshed, and much enhanced, version due for launch on June 1. Google research shows that currently 85% of leisure travellers consider the internet as their main source for planning travel, while 45% of leisure travellers and 54% of business travellers have made travel plans based on online reviews or experiences of others. We hope visitors find the enhanced version of the website informative, dynamic and interactive. It will carry the latest information on the emirate’s attractions, experiences and sporting activities, with full search options for hotels and restaurants all available in eight languages (English, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese). The new website is very user-friendly and visual, allowing visitors to interact and comment on every page. Starting June 1, visitors will be able to find and share information, photos and videos on all visitabudhabi.ae social media pages – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google +, Flickr. As the tourism offering of Abu Dhabi is developing apace, www.visitabudhabi.ae will be a reference source for all those planning to visit, or visiting, this destination of distinction.

Why does the article make it sound as if living in the UAE is some sort of punishment some Europeans are ready to endure because of the financial crisis. True that being away from home is not all good, but why bother telling that to a population where over 80% are not even living in their home countries to begin with.
