Kuwait's University had many projects to expand all over Kuwait and open up new buildings to keep up with the increasing numbers of students, annually. Unfortunately, the Liberal-backed Government suspended all the work on these new projects since the long time ago. the move was politically motivated in order to wait for a big problem like this to happen and then blame it on Liberal opponents, the Islamists. What's happening to the poor students who didn't find a place in Kuwait's University is not because of 'segregation' it's because of politicizing Higher Education and for the fact that Government still fully own and 'control' the University and sometime uses it for its own political agenda. Just come to Kuwait and see for yourself how poor the University of Kuwait is. See the old buildings still standing, the majority of them are from the 70s/80s. Last, read about the news today, the Government refused to come to an extraordinary session held by the request of the parliament to find proper solutions for the students who didn't find a place. Government wants a temporary solution so they can play the education card whenever they want for their own agenda, while the MPs want to find permanent solutions to these problems. Oh, and the Islamists MPs who requested to hold that extraordinary session.
