Very intelligent and wise words from Sayeeda Warsi. The Church and State in the West&Europe has been separated to such an extent that I don't know what's Christian about Europe or it's people anymore! It is indeed true that in UK and other European countries, many today wihout any qualms openly criticize Muslims among other minorities on account of their faith and religious identities! I've read thousands of spiteful comments filled with pure hatred for Muslims, even making fun of them for prostrating to God and kneeling in worship to Him five times a day - what is their problem with that? Most of them are of course atheists who do not believe in a Divine Creator and want to be respected as such, while they want to go about making fun of God and all those who believe in Him! They do not want to accept any identity that’s different to their own while claiming to be tolerant and liberal! According to them, a person cannot be a European as well as a Muslim at the same time. For them, to be a European, would mean to have to wholly give up their own religious identities or at least dilute it to such an extent that there's nothing Islamic about their identities anymore! They want Muslims to embrace their cultures, and why should they, I ask! But, interestingly, what exactly is their culture? It sure isn't Christian culture anymore, most are even ashamed of being too Christian. Spirituality and divinity are becoming obsolete in Europea and it shows in the poor morality of today’s Western societies. Europe should stop shying away from Christianity and stop this marginalisation against its religious communities whether they are Muslims, Christians or Jews.
