Andrea Bocelli is coming to Abu Dhabi.
The du World Music Festival, held from March 22 to April 6, is making its Abu Dhabi debut with the famed Italian tenor performing at the du Arena in Yas Island.
Other names headlining the festival, which also has new venues in Dubai, include Emirati singer Hussein Al Jasmi, Egyptian pop-stars Amr Diab and Sherine, Iraqi singer and poet Kazem Al Saher and Bollywood crooner Sonu Nigam.
As well as the Abu Dhabi performance, the festival moved from its former Dubai home in the Burj Park and Burj Steps to more expansive venues such as the Dubai Media City Amphitheater and the Dubai Tennis Stadium.
With the exception of Bocelli’s Abu Dhabi performance, organisers have not yet revealed the dates and locations of other concerts.
“We aspire to contribute to the UAE’s position as the region’s entertainment hub by bringing the finest calibre of musical talent to the country,” said du executive vice president of brand and communication Hala Badri.
“Our third consecutive du World Music Festival brings together talent from around the world, allowing us to add life to the life of our customers by presenting world-class entertainment that caters to numerous tastes.”
