Aaron Eckhart plays a CIA operative who is forced on the run with his daughter when an international organisation decides to erase them both as part of a cover-up.
The action gets going pretty quickly as this Bourne-meets-Taken movie moves very quickly, but toward predictable and rather dull destinations. Eckhart's increasingly improbable past is slowly revealed, while Kurylenko pursues him across the globe as the operative (and former lover) on his tail.
Even Liberato gets increasingly annoying then empathetic as the clueless daughter more concerned with shouting at her father than surviving. Very reminiscent of many other movies, a sloppy script means you lose interest in The Expatriate very early on.
