Kimmel admits twerking video was a prank
Jimmy Kimmel confessed to being the prankster behind a staged twerking accident video, saying his revelation might bring an end to the suggestive move. On Monday, Kimmel admitted on his ABC late-night show that he had created the YouTube clip that drew more than nine million views in less than a week. He introduced the stuntwoman Daphne Avalon, who played the fictional, ill-fated twerker Caitlin Heller. "To the conspiracy theorists on the internet who thought the video was fake, you're right: the video was fake, we made it up," Kimmel said. Hundreds of news outlets were duped into showing it, he said. Kimmel marvelled that some even pinned the blame for the mishap on Miley Cyrus, who brought twerking to the fore with her performance at last month's MTV Video Music Awards.

Jury will hear case by former personal assistant against Lady Gaga in November
A one-time roommate and friend of Lady Gaga, who claimed after serving as her personal assistant for more than a year that the pop singer cheated her out of overtime wages, can tell her story to a jury in November, a judge said on Tuesday. A jury can decide whether Gaga's demands left Jennifer O'Neill any personal time or whether she was on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as she claimed in her 2011 lawsuit, the US district judge Paul Gardephe said. The trial is set for November 4. "Every day is a workday for her, so every day is a workday for the rest of us," O'Neill said. "There is no, 'We're going to stay in, we're going to sleep.' There is no 'Let's put on sweatpants and go out to the movies and be girlfriends.' It doesn't work like that." In her deposition testimony, Lady Gaga had said: "You don't get a schedule. You don't get a schedule that is like you punch in and you can play at your desk for four hours and then you punch out at the end of the day. This is when I need you, you're available."
Pirates of the Caribbean 5 delayed
The next instalment in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise will be delayed beyond its planned summer 2015 release, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer, says the decision to push Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which is set to bring back Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, was made because of script issues. He is hopeful that the film will be ready for summer 2016. "We have an outline everyone loves, but the script is not done," Bruckheimer said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
