How could there be highlights? The whole thing was a highlight. The spectacular circuit, the all-seated grandstands, the lighting, Yas Marina Hotel's stunning exterior, the marina with it's fabulous yachts, the atmosphere, the welcome, the concerts, the buses, the reasonably priced and varied food, the attitude and commitment of the workers and volunteers......I could go on. What city, what Nation wouldn't be proud to have staged such an event and shown themselves in such a positive light to the World?
Low spots?..the price of the official merchandise - AED360 for a polo shirt!!....and a pretty boring race. All in all I think the over-commercialised F1 money making machine didn't live up to the quality that Abu Dhabi provided. Abu Dhabi should be justifiably proud of itself.

I wasn't able to see anything of the Grand Prix as I was working but I devoured the newspapers everyday and searched the internet for new websites covering the event.
Last evening I was able to catch the last 30 minutes on Bahrain TV, I didn't understand much but just to hear the engines and admire the venue was great!
The highlight for me was the success of the venue itself! My sincerest congratulations go to all involved, from the workmen who built this incredible venue out of a vacant expanse of sand, to the Emirati volunteers who made everyone welcome, to the marshalls, the scrutineers, and all the countless behind-the-scene staff without whom this triumphant debut would not have been possible.
I would love to read a series of interviews with people who have been involved in different aspects of the event, i.e. the marshalls, the staff in the 'command center', etc.
And my thanks to 'The National' for its excellent running coverage throughout the event!

Aerosmith were awesome! However, the best by far were the hundreds of volunteers who offered their assistance and really made everyone feel welcome. The whole event was well organised and has shown the world what a great place Abu Dhabi is - the Emiratis should be very proud, even as an ex-pat I felt very privileged to be part of it and proud to call Abu Dhabi my home.
